Garden of the Groves

This peaceful oasis known as Garden of the Groves is one of Freeport’s most popular attractions for tourists as well as locals. When you come here you will find a botanical paradise unlike any other. There are 12 acres of waterfalls, lush, flowering vegetation, and beautiful gardens all around. There is even a meditation labyrinth for those who are spiritually inclined, or even if you just want to reconnect with nature, this is the place to be. This is a great location for bird watchers and horticulturalists. Last but not least, there is a petting zoo and a playground for the youngsters.

Garden of the Groves offers activities for those seeking  beauty, relaxation and peace. See exotic plants and flowers, the waterfalls, Bahamian art, migratory birds and butterflies, a kids’ playground, a garden café and much more. Visit the Arts and Crafts Center at the Gardens, featuring hand-crafted jewelry, island made fragrances, wood carvings, seashell jewelry and art, candles, Garden logo shop,  books on local cuisine, plants, art and poetry and hand made straw gifts.

The Garden of the Groves has been certified as a Wildlife Habitat by the U.S. Wildlife Federation. It is also less than a 15 minute drive to Port Lucaya Marketplace.

  • Open daily from 9am -5pm, 7 days a week.
  • Guided Tours at 11am & 2pm
